Mission Hosts 120 Homeless Kids for "Lunch with Santa,"
Featuring a Tour of the Festival of Trees & Arts and Crafts

| The Bay
District School system's homeless liaisons coordinated a fieldtrip
for 120 homeless children in this annual event, as part of
the Mission's Festival of Trees.
The children were hand-picked based
on need eligibility and were transported to the Visual Arts Center
for a morning of Christmas cheer!
The TOYS for KIDS Foundation
provided gifts, which were distributed by Santa himself.

The kids
were able to participate in Christmas Around the World, where they
learned how Christmas is celebrated in Germany, America, Latin
America, and Korea.
And the kids topped off the morning
with a tour of the trees and gingerbread houses that were
on display at the arts center. |
